You're in: Management Development Training > The National Certificate in Healthcare Supervision (HSD) This new training programme matches the management needs identified in the NHSE Phoenix Agenda report and is ideal for those needing to bridge the gap between Level 2 (Administration) and Level 4 (Management).
This unique collaboration between NEBS Management and IMS (Scotland) Ltd will enable primary and secondary care staff to acquire the organizational and management skills which are now required by the new NHS, with successful participants achieving the NEBS Introductory Certificate in Management as well as the National Certificate in Healthcare Supervision.
This training programme is designed for staff in both general and hospital practice, and for those in a supervisory role and is beneficial to employees who wish to extend their training beyond PRP, HRP and equivalent courses.
Healthcare Supervisory Development provides a short, achievable introduction to the principles and practice of supervision in the context of Healthcare delivery and also prepares candidates for training towards higher qualifications.
The twelve week training programme consists of self-study modules, workshops and a work-based assignment, developed specifically for the Health Service in context of the modern NHS and is designed to enable programme tutors to provide "hands-on"support to the participants.
Participants only need to spend two to three hours a week on assignment and self-study modules to complete the course from induction workshop to presentation of National Certificate in Healthcare Supervision.The Syllabus is as follows:-
